Sept. 2023 – At the invitation of U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns, Capchem
Chairman Johnson Qin attended the SelectUSA Investment Summit at the Ambassador’s residence in Bejing.
The summit focused on Chinese companies investing in mutually beneficial projects in the
United States, creating economic wins for both countries. The summit is highest-profile event
dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States and plays a vital role in attracting and facilitating international investment into the United States.
Mr. Qin and Ambassador Burns discussed Capchem’s projects in Louisiana and Ohio, with
Ambassador Burns expressing his interest in visiting the sites.
The U.S. is a market with huge potential for incremental growth of new energy vehicles
(NEVs), specifically with the global move toward carbon neutrality and the U.S. goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
